why has “cringe” comedy taken over recently?
is it just a mirror for social decay and the degeneration of peoples moral character?
ie
catherine tate
chris morris
ricky gervais.
etc etc
it is comedy that doesnt make you laugh freely and joyfully….
it is comedy intended to make you cringe with relief that youre not the victim of something so gleefully spiteful.
league of gentlemen is another sinister brand of comedy.
is the age of carefree zany or silly humour gone for good?
humiliation, yes thats what it seems that people are getting off on…a sort of psychological brutality.
Dillen Moran reminds me of a young Dave Allen. I don’t think it’s because they’re both Irish. Try listening to him Cat, he made me chuckle.
League of gentlemen scare me. They’re like watching a nightmare. Harry Hill is very silly I LOVE THAT BALDY MAN!!!!!! lol he isn’t quite as silly as he makes out though.
I hate this thing people say about pushing boundaries. IT MAKES NO SENSE, Someone is funny or they aren’t.
